Udall Foundation is glad to offer the Udall Scholarship Program. The scholarship is exclusively open to U.S. students pursuing a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in one of the fields listed below. Those are selected will receive up to $7,000.
Scholarship Description
The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment. The Udall Foundation is looking for real change-makers who are passionate, authentic, and creative.
Award Value
The Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 50 scholarships of up to $7,000 each that can be used toward tuition, fees, books and supplies, and room and board.
Level and Area of Studies
Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in environmental sciences and policy studies, agriculture, political science, natural resource management, sociology, anthropology, American Indian studies, tribal public policy, history, English, theater, landscape architecture, and public health, to name just a few areas.

In the United States of America.
Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, candidate must mee the requirement as follow:
- Is a sophomore or junior-level college student at a two-year or four-year accredited institution of higher education in the United States, pursuing a bachelor’s or associate’s degree full time
- Are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident
- Two-year college students may apply as sophomores in the semester before receiving their associate’s degree. You must have applied and/or been accepted to a four-year university as a full-time student for the following year in order to receive the award
- Recent Udall Scholars have majored in environmental sciences and policy studies, agriculture, political science, natural resource management, sociology, anthropology, American Indian studies, tribal public policy, history, English, theater, landscape architecture, and public health, to name just a few areas.

The United States citizens are invited to apply.
Application Instruction
The application package must be consisting the materials as follow:
- An 800-word essay on a speech, legislative act, book, or public policy statement by either Morris K. Udall or Stewart L. Udall and its impact on your interests and goals
- Transcripts for all college coursework and
- Three letters of recommendation that speak to your leadership, public service, and academic achievements.
