Trandafir Writing Competition for Law Students

Applications for the Trandafir Writing Competition are currently being accepted. To participate, applicants must be currently enrolled in law or graduate degree programs. To apply, all candidates are required to write an essay on the topic stated below.

Program Description
The Trandafir Writing Competition is available to the law and graduate students in all disciplines. Each year, Transnational Law & Contemporary Problems, in conjunction with the University of Iowa College of Law International and Comparative Law Program, conducts an annual world affairs student writing competition. The candidates must write an essay on the topic of economic concern to be entering in the contest.

Award Value
Publication and a $2,500 cash prize paid upon publication of the winning submission.

Graduate program in law studies.

In the United States of America.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible for Trandafir Writing Competition, all students currently enrolled in law or graduate degree programs.

Applicants’ Nationality
The U.S. citizens may participate to the competition.

Application Instruction
Interested candidate must write an essay on the topic “any contemporary international business or economic concern” to be entering the essay contest.

Submission Deadline
February 1 every year.
