Sydney International Scholarships to Study in AustraliaThe Sydney International Scholarships to Study in Australia is open to both domestic and international students from across the globe who intend to undertake either Undergraduate or Postgraduate study at the University of Sydney. The University offers very attractive and flexible scholarships valued at between $6000 to $40,109 per annum with varying application timelines to ease student’s enrollment and academic pursuits.

Scholarship Description

The University of Sydney International Scholarships are generally classified into two categories – namely:

  • The Sydney Scholars Awards – for undergraduate studies, and
  • The University of Sydney International Scholarships – for Postgraduate Studies.

Sydney Scholars Awards

This is an undergraduate scholarship valued at $6000 to support outstanding Year 12 students to undertake an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney.

Eligibility Criteria for the Sydney Scholars Awards

Eligible candidates must:

  • be a domestic student or an onshore international student who is due to complete or recently completed an Australian Year 12 qualification such as the HSC or an equivalent qualification such as the International Baccalaureate.
  • be applying for admission through UAC.
  • have achieved an ATAR of 95 to 99.85 or equivalent.
  • apply in the year that you complete your secondary education (if you are offered a Sydney Scholars Award, you may defer it for up to two years).

Note: Domestic students with excellent academic ability experiencing financial hardship or other disadvantages may also choose to apply for the Sydney Scholars Awards on equity and hardship grounds.

Sydney Scholars Awards | How to apply

Before commencing an application, applicants should read fully the application instructions and then proceed to complete the online application form and submit all supporting documents (including a personal statement).

University of Sydney International Scholarships

This is a postgraduate research scholarship to support high-quality international postgraduate students to study for a master’s by research or PhD at the University of Sydney, Australia.

This scholarship is valued at $40,109 per annum. The scholarship assists students with tuition fees and living costs.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be a commencing or enrolled international student.
  • have an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential.
  • have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a master’s by research or PhD at the University of Sydney.

Current students can apply here, applications are open all year round, however, deadlines mentioned here apply.

Commencing students should select the checkbox to be considered for research scholarships when completing the admission application for the postgraduate research degree. A separate application is not required.
