The applications for George Watt Prize are now accepted. All graduate and undergraduate with no geographical boundaries are welcome to apply. The program is an essay based scholarship. All applicants must submit an essay in English or Spanish.
Scholarship Description
Graduate and undergraduate students from the United States and elsewhere are invited to submit an essay or thesis chapter about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the Americans who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938.
In 2015 session, there will be two prizes of will be awarded, one in the undergraduate and one in the graduate category. Work will be judged on the basis of originality, quality of research, and effectiveness of argument or presentation.
Award Value
Each of the selected candidates will receive $500 for undergraduate and $1,000 for graduate.

Graduate and undergraduate in all subjects.

All students who currently being enrolled both undergraduate and graduate program in the USA and other countries are welcome to apply.
Applicants’ Nationality
There is no nationality restriction to apply the George Watt Prize.
