The University College Cork (UCC) is currently offering a number of UCC Excellence PhD Scholarships. These scholarships are exclusively open to applicants who intend starting a PhD or PhD Track or MPhil as a pathway to a PhD in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences. Up to 10 awards are given annually.
Award Value
The UCC PhD Excellence Scholarships cover EU tuition fees and are tenable initially for one year, and can be extended for the duration of the student’s chosen postgraduate course.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be be considered eligible for the UCC PhD Excellence Scholarships, applicants must have:
- at least Second Class Honours (Grade 1) or equivalent in their first or subsequent degree.
- already applied for their chosen postgraduate course at UCC at the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences.
Applicants’ Nationality
There is no nationality restriction to apply these PhD Excellence Scholarships.
