Google Lime Scholarship for Students with Disabilities in USA & CanadaApplications for the Google Lime Scholarships are now invited. These scholarships are exclusively open to Canadian and U.S students who are diagnosed with disabilities. Eligible candidates should be High School seniors, College students, Undergraduate or Graduate students currently pursuing education in a Financial Services, Healthcare or STEM fields, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and other closely related technical field. Those are selected will receive benefit of 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada).

Scholarship Description

Google Lime Scholarships: Access to knowledge is our thing. When it comes to higher education for promising scholars, we don’t want anything to stand in the way. That’s why Google is proud to support the work of Lime Connect since 2008. Google is committed to helping the innovators of the future make the most of their talents by providing scholarships and networking retreats for computer science students with disabilities.

Award Value

Each of the winning candidates will be granted 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD.

Level and Area of Studies

Google Lime Scholarships is available for High School Seniors, College Students, Undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Financial Services, Healthcare or STEM areas, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a degree in closely related technical fields.

Place of Study

The study can be taken either in the United States or Canada.

Eligibility and Criteria

To be eligible for the Google Lime Scholarships, students must be:

  • High School Seniors, College Students, undergraduate, graduate or PhD student currently enrolled at a university in the U.S. or Canada (freshmen/first years and international students studying in the U.S. or Canada are eligible to apply)
  • Intending to be enrolled in or accepted as a full time student at a university in the U.S. or Canada
  • Pursuing a course in Financial Services, Healthcare or STEM areas, Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field (such as software engineering; or electrical engineering with a heavy computer science course load)
  • Maintaining a strong academic performance
  • A student with a visible or invisible disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term, or recurring, issue that impacts one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function); this definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists. We know that 90% of disabilities on campus are invisible, and candidates with all disabilities are encouraged to apply
  • Exemplifying leadership and demonstrate a commitment to and passion for computer science and technology
  • Previous Google Lime Scholars are unfortunately not able to be considered

Only U.S and Canadian students are invited to apply.
