The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) is looking to engage interns from the MENA region as part of its Youth Internship Program which is focused on personal development, and couching on climate finance in general and specifically on CIF’s mission and activities. Each intern is fully funded by the CIF for a 5-month period. Applications are accepted until mid-June.
Internship Description
Climate Investment Funds (CIF) programs work on promoting youth engagements and are supported by CIF’s Stakeholders Engagement (SE) Team. Youth interns from the MENA region will be expected to assist in the implementation of the YES Annual Plan, help coordinate regional consultations on climate related topics, identify institutions/platforms for dialogue with the youth, assist in building a strategic network with key youth organizations and deliver a final summary report on the internship upon completion.
Program Benefits
A basic stipend will be provided to cover the cost of communication, accommodation, food, travel and other living expenses.

Level and Areas of Study
The CIF is a non-degree Youth Program in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Place of Study
The Internship Program will take place at World Bank facility.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a citizen in a country in Middle East and North Africa
- Candidate must be aged between 18-30 years
- Candidate must have a basic knowledge and interest in climate finance, and experience engaging in climate action through local leadership, policy advocacy, climate finance, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Be fluent in English, be able to communicate via email and WhatsApp, and be familiar with social media.
