Bayer Foundation Fellowships for Masters, PhD and Medical Students (€10,000)The Bayer Foundation Fellowships invite applications from brilliant young people seeking unique opportunities to develop essential skills, gain new perspectives, build important relationships around the globe, have a positive impact on the world and become the boundary-breakers of tomorrow. Applicants are eligible for up to 10,000 Euros in funding for fellowships between 2 weeks and six months. Interested candidates should apply now.

Fellowship Details

Bayer Foundation fellowships are offered to young scientists from around the globe. There are opportunities for teachers, apprentices & young professionals in scientific industries and physicians, as well as offering support for young women with families in academia.

The fellowships are designed to enhance existing study programs by providing additional funding for international placements, that are complimentary to current or future scientific studies.

Applicants are eligible for up to EUR 10,000 in funding.

Place of Study

People studying in Germany must undertake placements in second country & those studying outside Germany must undertake their fellowships at a German research institution.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Bayer Foundation Fellowships, applicants are required of the following conditions:

  • For Otto Bayer Fellowships in Drug Discovery: Applicants must be current master’s or PhD students from all scientific disciplines including pharmacy and data science, with fundamental or applied studies with relevance to the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare (over-the-counter) industries.
  • Jeff Schell Fellowships for Agricultural Science: Applicants must currently be master’s or PhD students from all scientific disciplines including data science, with fundamental or applied studies with relevance to the Crop Science industry.
  • Carl Duisberg Fellowships for Medical Sciences: Applicants must be students of human & veterinary medicine, or master and PhD students in medical engineering, applied medical sciences, data science in medicine and public health.

Application Procedure

Applications for Bayer Foundation Fellowships can only be made through the digital portal (only available during the application period). Intending candidates are to apply only once per call, as multiple applications will make all submissions to be rejected.
