Master Mind Scholarships at KU Leuven in BelgiumThe Master Mind Scholarships at KU Leuven applications are being invited from international students. These KU Leuven scholarships are awarded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training on behalf of the Belgian Government to outstanding students from all over the world enrolling for Master’s programs in Flanders and Brussels. The Scholarship comprises a grant of €10,000 and a tuition fee waiver per academic year. 

Scholarship Description

The Master Mind Scholarships at KU Leuven are a highly competitive opportunity, funded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training. Any student who is interested in studying in Belgium with a scholarship can avail themselves of this opportunity. But such applicants will be competing against other international students with excellent academic records. Applicants’ chances of being selected will largely depend on a strong application.

Award Value

The Master Mind Scholarships at KU Leuven offers:

  • Full fee waiver and Allowance
  • Full tuition fee waiver and pay only an annual administration fee.
  • A scholarship coverage of € 10,000 per academic year, for a maximum of two academic years.
  • A scholarship duration of one academic year for a 60 ECTS Master’s program and two academic years for a 120 ECTS Master’s program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Master Mind Scholarships for the 2025/2026 session,

  • Students should be applying for an eligible Master’s programs
  • Eligible Program: Applicants should consult the eligible Master’s programs before applying.
  • Eligible Nationality: All nationalities are considered eligible except Russian citizens.
  • Academic Requirement: Candidates should have excellent study results as reflected in a high GPA on the transcript of records.
  • The previous degree(s) should have been obtained at a higher education institution outside Flanders. International students who have completed a credit mobility at a host Flemish higher education institution are still eligible for a Master Mind Scholarship.
  • Language Proficiency: Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate a good knowledge and command of English, regardless of the minimum score required by the program. Accepted English language tests are:
    • Online TOEFL(Test of English as a Foreign Language): minimum overall score of 94
    • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): minimum overall score of 7
    • Cambridge CPE(Cambridge Proficiency English): minimum level C2
    • The language test must be taken before the 15 January application deadline.

Application Procedure

Steps to Apply for Master Mind Scholarships at KU Leuven for 2025/2026:

Step 1: Submit a complete application file for an eligible Master’s program before the deadline, including the KU Leuven Scholarships & Master Mind Candidacy Form as an annexe. This annexe should be uploaded in the application tool under document type “Annexe “.

Step 2: Register your Master Mind candidacy via the online registration tool before the 15 January 2025, deadline.
