The Miami University International Students Scholarships are available for all new first-year undergraduate international students who submit completed applications and meet the requirements for full admission for fall semester. They are automatically considered for the International Education Scholarship and University Merit Scholarship.
Scholarships Description
The Miami University International Students Scholarships are open to all new Undergraduates who meet the requirements. Separate applications are required for the Presidential Fellows Program (PFP) and the #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship. Miami University scholarships are highly competitive. The academic qualifications determining scholarship awards also depends on the strength of the applicant pool.
International Education Scholarship
Miami’s International Education Scholarship program provides renewable merit-based scholarships for outstanding international applicants. These awards can vary from $1,000 to $8,000 per year, and amounts are determined by academic records, test scores, and other factors received by Miami at the time of application.
University Merit Scholarship
All international students with equivalent U.S. grade point averages of 3.50 (or equivalent) or higher are also considered for Merit-based Scholarships. These additional Miami University International Students Scholarships in US can range from $1,000 per year to full tuition per year, and are determined by the academic records, test scores, and other factors received by Miami University at the time of application.
The Presidential Fellows Program (PFP)
The Presidential Fellows Program is Miami University’s premier scholarship experience for incoming first-year students in all academic areas on Miami’s Oxford campus. The Presidential Fellows Program is a highly competitive scholarship for 15 top students in the Honors College per year that covers tuition, fees, housing, and meals, and includes a $5,000 academic enrichment stipend.
#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship
The #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship recognizes promising international students with a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding. As a participating institution in this program, Miami University will award two (2) annual, renewable scholarships covering a minimum of 50% of the costs of tuition.
