Lindemann Trust Fellowship Program in USAThe Lindemann Trust Fellowship Program is provided by English-Speaking Union. This research program is open to researchers who hold British, Irish or Commonwealth citizenship and be normally resident in the UK. The fellowship will support scholars who wish to carry out their research at a host institution in the USA.

Scholarship Description

The English-Speaking Union offers up to three grants a year, worth $65,000 each, for postdoctoral scientists to carry out their research at a host institution in the USA. The Lindemann Trust Fellowships are awarded to graduates who have shown exceptional promise and the capacity to produce original research in the applied sciences.

Research program in the fields of astronomy, biophysics, chemistry, engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics and physics.

Place of Study

The study will be taken in the United States.

Eligibility and Criteria

To qualify for the Lindemann Trust Fellowship Program in USA, you must:

  • Hold British, Irish or Commonwealth citizenship and be normally resident in the UK
  • Either be in the final stages of your doctoral studies at a UK university or have completed your doctorate at a UK university within the last three academic years.

Applicants’ Nationality

British, Irish or Commonwealth citizenship are welcome to apply.

Application Procedure

Fellowships may be taken up any time between the September and April of the following year, and last for a duration of two years. Interviews for shortlisted candidates take place in April.
