Desmond Tutu Master's Scholarships for African Students at the University of EdinburghThe Desmond Tutu Master’s Scholarships is now open form any African students pursuing master degree within School of Divinity of Edinburgh University. All subjects at the school are eligible. The successful applicants will receive full tuition fees plus monthly allowances.

Scholarship Description

The Desmond Tutu Master’s scholarship are specially available yearly to any eligible student from Africa for a postgraduate Master’s study within the School of Divinity of the University of Edinburgh.

Scholarship Value

Each of the selected candidates may expect to receive a full overseas tuition fee and maintenance allowance.

Eligibility and Criteria

Eligibility for the Desmond Tutu Master’s Scholarships for African Students:

  • The candidates should have accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master’s programme of study within the School of Divinity.
  • Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
  • The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring a Bachelor Degree equivalent to a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree.
  • The financial circumstances of applicants also will be taken into consideration.

Applicant Nationality

Only those coming from African countries are eligible to apply this Desmond Tutu Scholarship.
