Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism, Media and GlobalisationThe Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism, otherwise, Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Journalism, Media and Globalisation welcomes applications from undergraduate students around the world. Students can apply for admission to the Mundus Journalism programme and for a Mundus scholarship within the same application process. The call for applications is open each year from the 1st of November until the 10th of January.

Scholarship Description

Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism: The Mundus Journalism Consortium receives between 400 and 500 applications each year and accepts up to 80-90 students. Mundus students represent almost every continent and region of the world.

Award Value

The Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism for students from Partner Countries of €49,000 (€47,000 if travel distance from place of residence is less than 4,000 km). CATEGORY A ON THE APPLICATION FORM. You can be considered for this type of scholarship if:

  • You are NOT a resident of any of the EU Member States, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey, Serbia or former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
  • You must comply with the 12 months rule, i.e. you cannot have carried out your main activity (studies, work, private visits, tourism, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the EU Member States.
  • You fulfil the admission requirements and selection criteria.

Scholarships for students from Programme Countries of €35,000: CATEGORY B ON THE APPLICATION FORM. You can be considered for this type of scholarship if:

  • You ARE a resident of any of the EU Member States, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey, Serbia or former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
  • You are NOT a resident of any of these States, BUT you have carried out your main activity (studies, work, private visits, tourism, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of them.

Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Requirements for admission to the Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism programme:

  • A bachelor’s degree within a relevant field of study.
  • Documentation of your English skills if you are not a native English speaker.
  • At least 3 months of journalistic experience

Application Procedure

How-To-Apply: To be able to apply for the Mundus Master’s Scholarships in Journalism:

  • Prepare, print and sign the application form.
  • Arrange the Application package.
  • Collect all documents in one PDF file (max 10mb), and name the file.
  • Fill in the Online Registration and attach the PDF.
  • Submit your application on/before January 10.
