PPIA Junior Summer Institute fellowship 2025TheĀ PPIA Junior Summer Institute Fellowship is tailored to grant future public policy leaders access to the Junior Summer Institute. The PPIA JSI fellowship is a fully funded and rigorous graduate school preparation program, and lifetime participation in PPIA’s Alumni Network and annual Public Service Expo. Applications for the 2025 PPIA Fellowship are welcome until November 1, 2024.

Fellowship Description

The Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) offers PPIA Fellowship to prepare undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds for graduate studies and careers in public policy and international affairs. The PPIA Junior Summer Institute fellowship is a rigorous seven-week program held for undergraduate students before their senior year. Students gain a deeper understanding of current issues and trends, explore career opportunities in public service and global leadership, and acquire the academic skills necessary to excel in graduate education.

PPIA Fellowship Benefits

  • Summer stipend to facilitate full participation in the PPIA JSI fellowship program.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants to the PPIA Junior Summer Institute Fellowship should meet the following specific criteria:

  • Applicants must have an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
  • If you are a United States citizen, legal permanent resident, or DACA recipient you are eligible to apply to all JSI programs.
  • International students are eligible for select JSIs ā€“ Carnegie Mellon and Princeton ā€“ and must be enrolled in a U.S. based institution.
  • Must be interested in contributing to the diversity of perspectives present in the Junior Summer Institute.
  • You must specifically demonstrate involvement in working to improve historically underserved or underrepresented communities, including African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics, Latino, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and other seen and unseen identities.
  • Financial need is taken into consideration.
