The Gonda PhD Student Grants are sponsored by J. Gonda Foundation. This program is purposed to provide financial support for PhD students studying Sanskrit, other Indian languages and literature, and Indian cultural history at Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences. The deadlines for all applications are April 1 and October 1 of every year.
The Gonda PhD student grants offers PhD students at a university in the Kingdom of the Netherlands opportunity to apply for a grant for a distinctive scholarly project, a working visit abroad or some other activity in the field of Indology.
A Gonda PhD student grants is usually between € 3000 and € 10,000. The grant cannot be used to cover salaries.
