The scholarship award is exclusively available for new undergraduate students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s (UOIT). The scholarship recipients will be granted $72,000 in total which is tenable for four years.
Scholarship Description
The international secondary school student entering an undergraduate program at UOIT are now invited to apply the Global Scholar Award. Eligible students should be currently studying outside of Canada, you can apply for UOIT’s Global Leadership Award (GLA). The GLA scholarship is one of UOIT’s most prestigious entrance awards. The GLA recognizes international secondary school applicants with strong academic and leadership abilities. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not eligible for the GLA.

Each of the selected applicants will receive up to $18,000 a year for four years.

The qualified candidates are those meet the requirements as follow:
- Nominated by high school.
- Only one candidate per school will be considered for this award.
- An excellent academic record
- Excellent personal leadership activities
- Undergraduate studying towards their first university degree.
Applicants’ Nationality
This scholarship open to Non-Canadian citizens only and a high school applicant currently studying outside of Canada only.
