The Korean Government is offering up to 400 Global Korea Scholarship through GKS Support Program to self-financing overseas students pursuing undergraduate degree at Korean university. Those scholarships cover Living expenses up to 500,000 won per month. Applications are currently being accepted.

Scholarship Description

The purpose of the Global Korea Scholarship – GKS Support Program is to raise awareness of the benefits of studying in Korea and to motivate financially self-supporting foreign students by subsidizing outstanding students through their undergraduate study in Korea.

Award Value

Living expenses: 500,000 won per month (Maximum 5,000,000 won). This GKS Support scholarship will be tenable for ten months.

Level and Area of Studies

Undergraduate degree in any field.

Place of study

At any institution in Korea.

Eligibility | GKS Support Program

  • Students must be enrolled in a domestic university (including vocational colleges) in the second year or higher based on the applied academic year.
  • Applicants must have an average of 80 points or more out of 100 points during the entire enrollment period.
  • Must have an average of 80 or more out of 100 points in the previous semester in which grades are entered based on 100 points. And also, those who have rounded up 80 points cannot apply.
  • Must have passed level 4 or higher in the TOPIK

Application Instruction

To be awarded the Global Korea Scholarship, through the GKS Support Program, you are required to apply for admission into any university in Korea. The online application form is available at the official application portal through the link provided.
