Canon Collins Scholarships in UK for Africans

The Canon Collins scholarship is now open. Applicants from certain countries in Africa (Southern Africa) are welcome to apply. Canon Collins Scholarship will support those who want to undertake postgraduate program in selected universities in UK. These awards will cover full tuition fees, monthly allowances, and other benefits.

Scholarship Description

Canon Collins Trust annually offers scholarships of Canon Collins scholarship. This scholarship supports studies at the following universities: School of Oriental and African Studies, University of Sussex, University of Oxford, University of Queen Mary, University of London, University of Cambridge. The School of Oriental and African Studies and University of Sussex scholarships are open to any subject field. The University of Oxford scholarship is limited to the MSc in African Studies and the Queen Mary, University of London scholarship is limited to Masters Study courses in the field of Global Public Health and Policy. The scholarship at Queen Mary is limited to the MSc in Global Public Health and Policy.

Scholarship Value

The winners of Canon Collins Scholarships may expect to receive the benefits as follows: full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a return economy flight, a settling-in allowance, and other support whilst in the UK.

Level and Area of Studies

Master program in African Studies, Global Public Health and Policy, STEM subjects, and Arts and Social Sciences, and other subjects.

Place of Study

At one of the following institutions; School of Oriental and African Studies, University of Sussex, University of Oxford, Queen Mary, University of London, and University of Cambridge.

Eligibility and Criteria

Before applying for this Canon Collins Scholarship, please ensure that you are a qualified person based on the following qualifications:

  • Be a national of, or have refugee status in one of the eligible countries.
  • Be normally resident in southern Africa
  • Be in possession of a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division)
  • Be applying for a full-time one-year master’s course at one of the eligible universities.
  • Have at least 2 years of work experience in a relevant field

Applicants’ Nationality

The candidates should be the citizens of one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
