Applications for the WISE (Women in STEM Excel) Scholarship are currently being accepted. This is exclusively female student who are the residents of Washington. They must be intending to pursue career in STEM related area. The scholarship award is to be used toward tuition and educational expenses.
Scholarship Description
The WISE (Women in STEM Excel) Scholarship was created by Dr. Alexander Sobel to support, empower, and encourage women in Washington pursuing education in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics. Washingtonian women interested in a career in a STEM field are welcome to apply for the $1,500 scholarship.
Award Value
The winner will be awarded $1,500.

Degree program in STEM – related fields.
Place of study
The study will be taken in the United States.
Eligibility and Requirements
In order to be eligible to the WISE Scholarship Program, students must meet the requirements as follow:
- Student must be a female Washington resident;
- Student must be pursuing a degree/career path in a STEM-related field at an institution of higher learning;
- Applicant must submit one letter of recommendation with valid contact information;
- Student must complete application form and provide original essay answers.
