Each year, the University College London in UK offers the Virtus Bursary Award for students pursuing undergraduate degree in the field of Modern Languages. Please note, only UK or EU nationals are welcome to apply. They must already have an offer of admission to UCL to study a full-time Modern Languages degree in the School of European Languages, Culture and Society at the university.
Scholarship Description
The aim of the Virtus Bursary Award is to support undergraduate students in financial need to pursue their Modern Languages degree at the University College London – UCL. One award will be offered for the 2019/20 academic session. The bursary is awarded to cover maintenance costs.
Award Value
The award will be £5,781.25 per year for four years and is subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility and Criteria
In order to be eligible to the Virtus Bursary, candidates must:
- hold UK/EU fee status;
- hold an offer of admission to UCL to study a full-time Modern Languages degree in the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (degrees offered by the departments of Dutch, French, German, Italian, Scandinavian Studies, Spanish, Portuguese & Latin American studies, and the combined Language and Culture BA) for the 2019/20 intake (commencing in September 2019). Preference will be given to a student studying for a degree in German and/or Scandinavian Studies.
