Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders Awards

Peace Direct is gald to invite applications for the Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders Awards. This call is targeted to organization or individual undertaking peacebuilding work. These are global awards. There is no geographical restriction on applications. Three winners will be chosen as a winner.

Scholarship Description
Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders is the global awards for innovation in local peacebuilding. Through the annual awards, Peace Direct offers international recognition for organisations trying new or different peacebuilding approaches or new organisations doing peacebuilding where it hasn’t been done before. These are the only global awards for local peacebuilders – inspiring individuals who are building a better tomorrow in the world’s most fragile places.

Award Value
Each of the orgranization winning the Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders Awards will receive $10,000 and online promotion of their work. Each of the three winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the award ceremony the USA. The winner of Women-led peacebuilding, Youth-led peacebuilding and Music and performing arts will receive $1,000 each.

Level and Area of Studies
Non-degree program in the area that related peace building.

Place of Study
The award will be awarded in the United States.

Eligibility and Criteria
These are global awards so there is no geographical restriction on applications. In order to be eligible to enter, you must:

  • Undertake peacebuilding work – your organisation is either a peacebuilding organisation or has peacebuilding as a substantial element of your work.
  • Be locally based – your organisation must be based in the country or communities where your work is done. If your organisation operates in multiple countries, you are not eligible to enter. (Note cross-border projects are eligible.)
  • Be an independent organisation, not an in-country or satellite organisation of an international NGO.
  • Be working, or planning to work, in at least one of the following thematic areas: women-led peacebuilding; youth-led peacebuilding; or non-violent action.

Applicants’ Nationality
There is no nationality restriction to apply the Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders Awards.
