The Department of Education of New Hamsphire State is glad to offer a number of Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans. The scholarship is only available to a New Hampshire resident for 12 consecutive months preceding the date of enrollment. Entries are accepted by 1 September every year.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Be a New Hampshire resident for 12 consecutive months preceding the date of enrollment;
  • Be between the ages of 16 and 25; and
  • Be the child of a parent, either mother or father, who served in the United States armed services during an approved period and who either died while on active duty or as the result of a service related disability and was a resident of New Hampshire at the time of his or her death as certified by the U.S. Veterans Administration or as determined by the higher education commission.

Only U.S. students who are living in New Hampshire may apply.
