The Department of Education of New Hamsphire State is glad to offer a number of Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans. The scholarship is only available to a New Hampshire resident for 12 consecutive months preceding the date of enrollment. Entries are accepted by 1 September every year.

Eligibility and Criteria
- Be a New Hampshire resident for 12 consecutive months preceding the date of enrollment;
- Be between the ages of 16 and 25; and
- Be the child of a parent, either mother or father, who served in the United States armed services during an approved period and who either died while on active duty or as the result of a service related disability and was a resident of New Hampshire at the time of his or her death as certified by the U.S. Veterans Administration or as determined by the higher education commission.
