The NCTA Scholarship – NCTA & AWMF Scholarship is now open to deserving female communications or media undergraduate and graduate students in the United States. The winners will have opportunity to attend the Gracies Leadership Awards in the Fall of 2019.
Scholarship Description
This NCTA Scholarship was created in 2015 through a partnership with NCTA- The Internet & Television Association. NCTA is the principal trade group for the internet and television industry, representing cable operators, content providers, and affiliated vendors. This scholarship serves to fund a promising student’s education as well as to provide a unique and compelling piece for her resume. The student will also have the opportunity to meet high-level professionals in the media industry through the Women in Media event. The scholarship piece will be ultimately created with the guidance of an NCTA representative to ensure it is as compelling and high-quality as possible.
Award Value
The winner of the scholarship will receive $5,000.
Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate and graduate degree in communication or media fields.
Place of Study
The study will be taken any accredited college or university in the United States.
Eligibility and Criteria
This NCTA Scholarship – NCTA & AWMF Scholarship is open to any female undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited college or university in the United States in 2019. Those pursuing a media career in an area such as cable, television, radio, digital media, publishing, journalism, advertising, production, creative design, or others are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants’ Nationality
The citizens of the United States are welcome to apply.
Application Instruction
Applicants must submit a project concept based on one of three industry-specific topics listed, provide a work sample, and a letter of recommendation. They must also include a statement about why they believe the topic to be important.
