Hong Kong Unison Scholarship Program

Each year, Hong Kong Unison offers a number of scholarships for ethnic minority students in Hong Kong. The scholarships are purposed to support those who are pursuing degree and sub-degree programmes in any tertiary education institute in Hong Kong. Two types of scholarships will be given; Chinese Performance scholarship and Tertiary Education Scholarship. Those are selected will receive benefit of minimum HKD7000 for one academic year.

Scholarship Description
Hong Kong Unison has administered the Scholarship for Ethnic Minority Students since 2008. Under the generous support of various donors, we are able to financially support ethnic minority students in their pursuit of post-secondary education. One of the scholarship scholarships administered by Hong Kong Unison is Unison Scholarships.

Award Value
Each of the scholarship winners will receive at least HKD 7000 for one academic year.

Level and Area of Studies
Degree and sub-degree programmes in all subjects.

Place of Study
At any tertiary education institute in Hong Kong.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Only open to ethnic minority (Non-Chinese) residents in Hong Kong with right of abode and holding a valid HK Identity Card. Note: Students holding study, travel or visit visa are not eligible for the application.
  • Full-time or part-time students who are enrolled or will enroll in a degree programme in any tertiary education institute in Hong Kong in the coming academic year. Only students who are pursuing their first degree are eligible.
  • Full-time or part-time students who are enrolled or will enroll in a sub-degree programme in any tertiary education institute in Hong Kong in the coming academic year, and have already completed a minimum of one year in a sub-degree programme.

Applicants’ Nationality
Scholarships are only open to ethnic minority (Non-Chinese) residents in Hong Kong with right of abode and holding a valid HK Identity Card.
