DFBSST Scholarship Program for Black – American Students

The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) is pleased to invite applications for the DFBSST Scholarship Program. The scholarship is exclusively open to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Winners will receive benefit of maximum $3,000. The deadline is June 15 every year.

Award Value
Scholarships are based on merit and financial need. The DFBSST Scholarship awards are up to $3,000 per year.

Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate degree in technical field of study (i.e., engineering, math, science, etc.)

Place of Study
In the United States of America.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • African-American, undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a technical field of study (i.e., engineering, math, science, etc.),
  • Be enrolled (or identify his or her intention to enroll) at one of the predominantly Black colleges or universities listed below, and
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Only the United States citizens are welcome to apply.
