Applications for the Blindsgalore National Scholarship is now open. The essay contest is available for the U.S female students only. The winning students will be granted $2,000. The deadline is updated every year.
Since its inception in 1953, the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF) has been assisting women in achieving success through higher education. Today the educational fund of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is considered one of the most highly respected grant and scholarship programs for women in the country. Over the past 60 years, the fund’s Board of Trustees has awarded more than $17 million in scholarships to more than 16,000 women thanks to the generous contributions of ABWA members.
The contest winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship in the name of ABWA Scholarship Fund.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, all candidates are required to satisfy the given criteria as follow:
- Must be a Woman
- Must be in College
- Must have a Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a US Citizen
Only the U.S citizens are invited to apply.
To enter, you must write a 400-600 word essay describing a time where you changed your mind about something significant. What made you change your mind? What impact did it have? You must also include along with your essay your full name, email address, post address, college, year to graduate, phone number and a brief bio about yourself. Please limit your bio to 150 words or less.
