The British Academy of Film and Television Arts – BAFTA Scholarship is now open. This call is intended to Chinese students who are willing to study film, television or games in the United Kingdom. The award covers tuition fee and living cost for entire duration of the program.
Scholarship Description
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is an independent charity that supports, develops and promotes the art forms of the moving image by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public. In addition to its Awards ceremonies, BAFTA has a year-round programme of learning events and initiatives – featuring workshops, masterclasses, BAFTA Scholarship, lectures and mentoring schemes – in the UK, USA and Asia; it offers unique access to the world’s most inspiring talent and connects with a global audience of all ages and backgrounds.
Award Value
The winning students will receive benefit as follow:
- Up to £24,000 towards course fees at an industry-recognised UK institution
- Up to £10,000 for living expenses
- Mentoring by an industry professional
- Free access to BAFTA events

The study will be taken in the United Kingdom.
Eligibility and Criteria
The BAFTA Scholarship Programme in China is supporting UK-China cross-cultural exchange by enabling talented Chinese nationals (both Hong Kong and Mainland students) to study film, television or games as an international student in the UK.
